Amit Bhatia is CEO of Impact Investors Council (www.iiic.in) since 2014 and an award-winning social entrepreneur. IIC is the industry association of all Impact Investors in India, who have cumulatively invested USD 2.5 billion in 350+ social enterprises across financial inclusion, clean energy, healthcare, education, water, sanitation, livelihoods, agriculture & housing.

Amit is also Founder of Aspire, a Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Employability Education firm (www.aspireindia.org). Since 2007, Aspire has trained over 65,000 students across 100+ institutions, 51 cities and 18 states. Amit is Winner of John P. McNulty Prize from The Aspen Institute.

Finally, Amit is Founder of Aspire Circle (www.aspirecircle.org), a trust promoting social leadership through Fellowships. Aspire Circle has 100+ eminent Fellows from CSR/Corporate Foundations, Non-Profits, DFIs, Intermediaries, Social Entrepreneurs, Impact Investors, and, Academicians.

Amit has 25 years of management experience and till 2007 served as CEO of WNS Knowledge Services, helping list WNS on NYSE with a $1 billion IPO. Prior to WNS, Amit was the Country Manager of FreeMarkets, Inc. Most notably, Amit founded and led McKinsey Knowledge Centre, the consulting firm’s global research centre.

Amit completed Bachelor’s from Shri Ram College of Commerce; Master’s from Delhi School of Economics with a Gold Medal; Cost Accounting from ICMAI; and Fellowships from The Aspen Institute and Aspire Circle.
